I can't really blame my lab coat. (Picture is taken from my perspective.)

Hmm, wonder if there'd be a market for maternity lab-wear...

Awesome pic!

chall - I can still reach the bench, but i have started knocking things over with my stomach.

AA - Now all I need is a visit from out overly-eager safety lady.

Cath - My PI would probably just tell me to go find a larger lab coat from the pile o' coats that got left behind. However, I am sure some percentage of women would be all too happy to buy themselves a maternity lab coat.

Tideliar- Glad you enjoyed it. I am not sure how long that top button is going to hold. Hopefully it doesn't take anyone's eye out if it does pop off.

I broke down and bought a maternity lab coat.. they really do sell them! :)
But there is no solution to the problem of working in a tissue culture hood.. your belly will always be in the way!

I loved wearing my lab coat with my big belly, but mostly for the reactions for the people who saw me.

funny :). I wonder if the little one will become a scientist hearing all that science talk...

Cute! Definitely a new way to track the baby bump. :)

Arlenna - Me too. It makes me feel like I'm not the only one running around the lab in this condition.

EGF - Thanks!!

LabMom - I can understand why. In my old lab, a lab coat was absolutely required and I would have had to get something. Fortunately, in my current lab it's only a big deal if you are from the safety department. Besides, I am so damn hot right now that I can barely stand to wear the extra layer.

SG - Girl...you so crazy. I can't wait to get rid of this. Actually, a few of my friends have said the same thing...they actually miss it.

CE - Thanks!!

UR - Hmmm. Not a bad idea. Maybe I'll do an updated photo. It's certainly gotten bigger.

Soil Mama - People certainly seem to get out of the way now when they see me coming. I guess they should since i probably have the weight advantage. :)

Dimitris - I think there is a good chance I'll produce a little geek. Besides all the science talk, the father is a software developer. We like to think we are nerdy in a cool way. :)

Hey, can you balance a rack of eppendorf tubes on that?

TR - LOL! I think I probably could. That will be the next photo.
