My husband and I love, love, love Star Wars. We don't get dressed up in costume or attend conventions, but... we do engage in lengthy discussions about Star Wars, we did see the movies on opening day and watched the movies a trillion times, we have. We even used the music from the celebration scene (the last scene) from Star Wars Episode IV as the recessional music for our wedding (The music played when you walk back down the isle after the ceremony).
So, you can imagine my excitement when I learned about Star Wars: In Concert. It is a concert of sorts featuring music from all six Star Wars episodes. To spare you, dear readers, from a long blog post where I geek out over every detail of this concert, I will list the pertinent details in bullet form.
This is going to be really freaking cool because:
- a live symphony orchestra and choir performs the music.
- synchronized film footage is displayed on a high-definition LCD screen that stands three-stories high.
- the actor who portrayed C3PO, Anthony Daniels, will narrate live.
- Lucasfilm created film montages specifically for this production.
- a Star Wars exhibit containing costumes, props, artifacts, etc. will accompany the show.

Sweeeeeeet!
When I was in the high school band at one of our concerts we played the whole Star Wars suite. It was the highlight of my high school band experience...and I didn't even see the movies until I was about 17 or so.
I've never even seen Star Wars and I think that's cool. Rock on!
OMG so freaking cool! Must check if its coming to Canada!
Hermitage - WHAT THE FUCK!!!!! ??????????????

Hermitage ... say what?!?!11!!!
AA - The coolest music my HS band played was from Batman. How could you go 17yrs without seeing Star Wars?
Hermitage - WHOA!! Stop the press! You haven't seen Star Wars ?!?!?!?!?! You need to fix this ASAP. Go this weekend, rent the movies, and at least knock out episodes 4-6. If you can't watch three then at least 4&5. ;)
SM - I know!! The current list of dates do NOT include where I live. However, the articles I read state that they will add more cities and damn it, they better.
TJ - I know, I know. We are geeks, but I was wondering, how many hours are you up to now on the Lego Star Wars?
Is the title of this post the sound of your "oh face"?
And...Hermitage loses her nerd cred.

Touche! Well over 40 hours. Heh. But hey, I'm over 50% through the game as well!
