So after much procrastination I have decided that I will blog about my daily life, particularly my experience as a graduate student nearing graduation.
I have already got a post-doctoral internship (post-doc) lined up, so all I have to do now is finish my experiments, write my papers and thesis and defend. I am hoping I can do this by August and start my post-doc in early October.
I am in the process of writing a paper with my PI (principal investigator/boss/mentor). This time was significantly less painful than the first. I am starting to get used to her writing style and have adjusted accordingly.
I will also write about things in my life outside of work, such as music, the frustrating process of planning a wedding when your bride gene is not expressed and cats. I would also expect a rant or two.

I love that: "your bride gene is not expressed". That perfectly sums up my own wedding planning experience from last year! You may find that you get some transient expression on the day though.
CAE: You are probably correct. I think the day will be fun, but making all these crazy decisions totally blows.
It is comforting to know that I am not the only one with this experience.
